AbstractAbstract
[en] This report describes the TRACR3D computer code, which solves the equations of transient two-phase flow and multicomponent transport in deformable, heterogeneous, reactive porous/fractured media. Solution is obtained by an implicit finite difference scheme for flow and a semi-implicit approach for transport. This report describes the equations of the model, defines the numerical solution procedure, presents partial verification and validation of the model, and includes a user's guide. TRACR3D can be used to study radioactive waste migration from repositories in unsaturated and saturated geology, chemical waste storage, soil water movement, and tests that define hydrocarbon reservoir structure. 23 figures
