AbstractAbstract
[en] Hamiltonian lattice models with fermions, gauge bosons and Higgs scalars are studied in 1+1 dimensions using the local Hamiltonian Monte Carlo method. In particular we study a Schwinger type model of interacting Higgs scalars, fermions and Abelian gauge bosons with spontaneous symmetry breaking and a Wess-Zumino type supersymmetric model with only fermions and scalars. In both models for suitable values of the parameters we find free solitons with fractional fermionic charge. (author)
