AbstractAbstract
[en] It is shown that the depolarizing effects in the arc of an electron-positron storage ring can be minimized by minimizing certain Fourier-harmonics of the particle trajectories. In more detail it is shown that the strength of the depolarizing resonance ((g-2)/2)xγ = n +- Qsub(x) is related to the harmonics of the closed orbit, the strength of the depolarizing resonance ((g-2)/2xγ = m +- Qsub(z)) to the harmonics of the vertical betatron oscillations, and the strength of the depolarizing resonance ((g-2)/2)xγ = i +- Qsub(s) to the harmonics of the closed orbit and the dispersion orbit. For all these depolarizing resonances compensation schemes are discussed. (orig.)
