[en] Yucca Mountain, located in southern Nye County, Nevada is currently being investigated as a potential site for an underground high-level radioactive waste repository. The series of index maps presented in this report provide an up-to-date reference of published geologic maps covering the Candidate Area. The published maps range in scale from 1:1200 through 1:700,000 and includes maps published by the USGS, state and commercial organizations, universities, and professional societies. USGS open-file maps also are shown, but no attempt is made to include open-file material of other organizations. Ph.D dissertations pertaining to the area are not shown on the maps but are listed in Appendix A
