AbstractAbstract
[en] It has been shown that interfering reactions may occur in neutron activation analyses of aluminum and zinc matrixes, commonly used in nuclear areas. The interferences analysed were: Al2713 (n, α) Na2411 and Zn6430 (n, p) Cu6429. The method used was the non-destructive neutron activation analysis and the spectra were obtained in a 1024 multichannel system coupled with a Ge(Li) detector. Sodium was detected in aluminum samples from the reactor tank and pneumatic transfer system. The independence of the sodium concentration in samples in the range of 0 - 100 ppm is shown by the attenuation obtained with the samples encapsulated in cadmium. (Author)

Mostrou-se que podem ocorrer reacoes interferentes em analises por ativacao com neutrons de matrizes de aluminio e zinco, materiais comumente usados na area nuclear. As interferencias analisadas foram: Al2713 (n, α) Na2411 e Zn6430 (n, p) Cu6429. O metodo utilizado foi a analise por ativacao nao destrutiva com neutrons e os espectros foram obtidos num sistema multicanal de 1024 canais acoplado a um detetor Ge(Li). Foi detetado sodio em amostras de aluminio do tanque do reator e das tubulacoes do sistema pneumatico de dosagem de minerio. A independencia da concentracao de sodio em amostras na faixa de 0 a 100 ppm foi observada atraves da atenuacao obtida com a amostra encapsulada em cadmio. (Autor)Original Title
