AbstractAbstract
[en] The model includes the noncircular plasma equilibrium, particle and energy balance, poloidal flux diffusion, simple edge/divertor physics and fixed impurities. Ohmic heating and local, instanteous alpha deposition are supplemented by ICRF-like heating. Central turbulence by saw-toothing is simulated. Fueling is by gas puffing and recycling. Transport scaling assumptions include twice neoclassical, thermal ion loss due to TF ripple, neoAlcator and a modified version with a finite beta enhancement. The nominal copper TFCX (R0 = 3.25 m, a = 1.30 m, b/a = 1.6, delta = 0.3, B0 = 4 T, q(a) = 2.4) is ignitable at 1014 cm-3 and 9 keV with 6x1011 cm-3 of oxygen impurity. JET appears ignitable with similar transport assumptions without impurities
