[en] The paper describes the basic monitoring principles to be applied when setting up a unified monitoring structure for use in the event of a radiation accident at a Czechoslovakian nuclear power station. Principles are set out for the planning and practice of monitoring and for allocating responsibility for its preparation and execution. There is discussion of the means to be employed for the monitoring at various points in time in accordance with the monitoring goals and assignments of the teams taking part. The technical support required by the monitoring teams is briefly discussed in relation to their assignments. (author)
