[en] The more conspicuous characteristic of Nambu mechanics is that the dimension of the phase space cannot only be even, but also odd, opening in this form possibilities for new physics. It was formulated and developed in terms of local coordinates only. Our main result is the obtainment of a coordinate free characterization of these mechanics. Then, selecting admissible local charts we show that on each of them we have realizations of Nambu original formulation. The motivation for this research is the important advance obtained in Hamiltonian mechanics when a coordinate free characterization was achieved. (author)
