AbstractAbstract
[en] The storage pond for spent fuel elements is part of a concrete building, which is adjacent to the steel safety containment of a PWR. The lower part contains a storage rack, into which the fuel elements are set vertically by means of a fuel element grab. To increase the capacity of the storage pond, steel consoles are arranged in the concrete walls above this storage frame, on which a supporting floor is laid. On this support there is room for a further storage frame, which is also situated below the water level (of the pond). (orig./PW)
