AbstractAbstract
[en] The purpose of the invention is to increase the efficiency of electron beam transport onto a target. This is achieved by the arrangement of the cathodes in the form of knife electrodes in high-voltage vacuum diodes in the known device for hio.h-current relativistic electron beam transport onto a target in a fusion reactor with inertial confinement. Additional solenoids generating a longitudinal magnetic field reiative to the beams are placed arround each of the diodes. Besides electrodes with slits, located at the inlet and outlet of the transport channels in against each diode and high-voltage pulsed sources are introduced into the device, one pole of the sources is connected to the electrodes at the transport channel outlet and the other one to the electrodes at the channel inlet and to the target. The device in question enables supply total electric power of approximately 1014 at total energy of approximately 5 MJ necessary for pulse ignition of pulse fusion reaction to the target 2 cm in diameter placed in the center of the explosive chamber at a distance of 3.5 m: no relativistic electron beam transport losses occur
