[en] A brief review of the National Institute of Nuclear Research is given and its activities in 1985 summarized, among which were the Institute's fabrication of nuclear fuel rods, advisory and technical support of the national nucleoelectric program, encouragement of the utilization of nuclear techniques in farming, livestock breeding, industry and health, improving processes in radioisotope production, construction of a metrology building for ionizing radiation measurement, training of manpower for the nucleoelectric industry, for applying nuclear techniques, and the assemblying of a pelletron electron accelerator.
