AbstractAbstract
[en] A model is proposed describing the mechanism of soliton formation in plasmas. The fast magnetoacoustic waves act as a triggering mechanism for initialization of instabilities and for reconnection processes of magnetic field lines. The existing jumps of the plasma density or of magnetic field are taken into consideration. These interfaces (e.g. magnetopause in the Earth's magnetosphere) can modify the propagation properties of fast magnetoacoustic waves and transform them to solitons. (D.Gy.)
