AbstractAbstract
[en] One of two known forms, Mr=622.1, tetragonal, I41/acd, a=7.461 (2), c=14.804 (2) A, V=824.1 (6) A3, Z=8, Dx=10.03 Mg m-3, λ(Mo Kα)=0.7107 A, μ(Mo Kα)=35.72 mm-1, F(000)=2144, T=298 K, R=0.051, 613 unique reflexions. Synthesized by induction heating. Isostructural with (RE)Ru4B4 (RE=rare earth). In contrast to the atomic arrangements of the other form, primitive tetragonal, Rh atom tetrahedra are rotated by 70 around the c axis and B atom tetrahedra are rotated in the same direction but by a slightly smaller amount (50). The shortest connexion between Rh atoms forms zigzag chains running parallel to the a1 and a2 axes. (orig.)
