AbstractAbstract
[en] The theoretical aspects of application of the Beer-Lambert law are discussed, with emphasis on the maximum theoretical error expected. A serie of measurements of moisture content within the range of 8g/cm3 to 30g/cm3 are made on samples of Pinus oocarpa by gamma-ray (241Am) attenuation methods and by the conventional gravimetric method. The relative deviations (experimental errors) found in the determinations made by these two methods are compared with the theoretical errors calculated, showing the viability of the gamma-ray method. Discutem-se os aspectos teoricos de aplicacao da Lei de Beer-Lambert, dando-se enfase ao maximo erro teorico esperado. Realizam-se medidas de umidade, na faixa de 8g/cm3 a 30g/cm3, em amostras de Pinus oocarpa, pelos metodos de radiacao gama (241Am) e gravimetrico convencional.
