AbstractAbstract
[en] Two practical aspects of the application of BaF2 crystals as detectors for nuclear radiation are considered: (1) wavelength shifting of the fast UV light component by a thin p-terphenyl layer, and (2) identification of light charged particles by measuring the intensity ratio between the fast and slow light components. Experimental tests have yielded satisfactory results in both directions. (orig.)
