[en] Summarises the addresses given by the Guest Speaker, M. Kohn, and the President A. Colomb, at the 27th SVA/ASPEA Ordinary General Meeting held in Berne on 27 Aug '86. Nuclear power is significant in Switzerland and quick shut down of existing nuclear stations is considered a bad policy. It is felt that a better course of action is to debate possible abandonment of nuclear power at the end of the life of existing, safe power stations and not to abandon it until alternative energy sources become available.
