[en] Ewald's self-consistent field method is used to deduce formulae for the reflection and transmission coefficients of a crystal slab in a well arranged determinant form. No supposition concerning the magnitude of the interaction between the diffracted particles and the crystal or the number of diffracted beams is made. (orig.)
