AbstractAbstract
[en] The contact term in the π-p→π+π-n reaction is known to partly cancel the dominant pion pole term. In this Comment we show that when such terms are used in connection with the double charge exchange reaction in pion nucleus collisions, the contact term vanishes for the reaction amplitude in the forward direction
