AbstractAbstract
[en] For deuteron energies from 9.4 to 13.3 Mev the spectral neutron yield from a thick Be target bombarded by deuterons was determined by the use of time-of-flight techniques. Neutron energy spectra were measured between 0.4 and 18 MeV using a flight path of 12m. For Esub(d) = 13.3 MeV neutron energy spectra were determined at various angles of emission from 0 to 40 degrees. A pronounced peak at Esub(n) = 0.8 MeV corresponds to the inelastic deuteron scattering on 9Be. The influence of neutron absorption and scattering on a water-cooled target was investigated and the experimental results were compared with calculations. (author)
