[en] Trends of process heat utilization from nuclear power plants are discussed. Advances of high temperature helium-cooled reactors for process heat generation are illustrated. Emphasis is laid on requirements to be met by the corresponding installations in respect to design and material parameters. Some developed procedures for utilizing process heat decoupled of high temperature nuclear reactors coal gasification are reported
