AbstractAbstract
[en] Peculiarities of spectroscopy of one- and two-electron atom Rydberg states (atoms of hydrogen, alkali metals, helium and alkali earths) are considered. A brief theoretical review of basic concepts of Rydberg atom spectroscopy is presented. The most widespread experimental methods are described. A brief review of data for one- and two-electron systems is presented, possible application of investigation results in the area bejond the framework of pure spectroscopy is considered as well
