AbstractAbstract
[en] The flow structure in the converging combined regions of three plane parallel jets issuing from identical plane nozzles into still air with identical exit velocities is investigated. Results show that the mean velocity profiles of the triple-jet flow can be adequately predicted by the Prandtl mixing-length turbulence model. In the converging region, the primary variable is found to be the nozzle width, while downstream of the merging point the primary variable is the nozzle spacing. 6 references
