[en] Doppler broadening measurements of the positron annihilation 511 keV photon line for trigonal selenium over the temperature range 77 to 480 K are reported. Line shape parameters F and W were employed to characterize line shape variations with temperature. The lines have been analyzed into Gaussian and parabolic components by convoluting with the instrumental resolution function. From the temperature-independent Gaussian line width curve was concluded that no evidence for thermal vacancies was observed
