[en] A numerical method simulating high current ion sources for neutral beam injection is given in this paper as well as its typical result. The examination of these results shows that this simulation reflects the most essential optical performance of the extraction system in high current ion sources. Therefore, the optical system of high current ion beams can be studied and designed with the help of this method
