AbstractAbstract
[en] The γ-ray spectum of the 32S(n, γ) reaction at thermal energy is measured by using a Ge(Li) detector. Among 86 γ rays identified 23 ones are recognized as primary γ-transitions. The excitation energies of 25 levels and the decay branch ratios are deduced. Three possible levels of 7505.0, 4473.1 and 2884.6 KeV were not reported previously. The neutron separetion energy of 33S is determined to be 8641.7 +- 0.6 KeV. The thermal neutron capture cross section of 32S is determined to be 529 +- 26 mb by summing the transition intensities to the ground state of 33S and comparing with the well known Au(n, γ) cross section. The partial capture cross sections of seven primary E1 transitions are calculated by the formula of the Lane-Lynn direct capture thoery and compared with measured values
