AbstractAbstract
[en] The authors have recently used a lanthanum fluoride precipitation method to separate 18F produced from proton activation of 18O in alkali chloride and fluoride salts. The procedure was developed for studying dissolved oxide species in alkali halide melts. Determination of oxygen in these systems is important for research in batteries and in extractive metallurgy utilizing molten salts as solvents. The details are given oxygen determination in alkali chloride and fluoride systems
