AbstractAbstract
[en] Radiation biology is a new field of the application of infrared thermography used in comparative diagnostics and in the measurement of temperature distribution. At the partial irradiation of the human body the well-known biological indicators of radiation effect can not be applied at all, or only to a limited extent. Therefore, the use of thermography is of great significance. A further benefit of the method is that alterations may be detected even if clinical symptoms are missing. The successful application of infrared thermography in the diagnosis of the extent of radiation burn is demonstrated by a case of hand injury. (author)
