[en] Thirty of 54 cases of pancreatic cancer treated with intraoperative radiotherapy (IOR) were further treated with postoperative irradiation. Pancreatic cancer is one of the best indications for conformation radiotherapy, and a combination of conformation radiotherapy and intraoperative radiotherapy significantly reduced side effects and complications, and prolonged survival time. The improved protocol of this combination therapy is one of the factors which contributes to its success. (author)
