AbstractAbstract
[en] Stationary nonlinear refraction of Gauss relativistically intense cirlularly polarized electromagnetic beams in inhomogeneous transparent plasma is investigated. It is shown that relativistic effect of electron mass oscillation in pumping wave field and relativistic electron striction have a determining influence on nonlinear dynamics of powerful electromagnetic wave propagation. Both relativistic effect and electron striction promote beam self-focusing. The latter determines also minimal sizes of a focal region. Calculations performed permit to conclude that for different plasma and beam parameters different modes of electromagnetic wave propagation are possible in inhomogeneous plasma: a) beam focuses immediately or after some expansion; b) beam affer collapse expands quickly; c) beam defocuses immediately
