AbstractAbstract
[en] The technology for producing high fields in large superconducting magnets has increased greatly in recent years, but must increase still more in the future. In this paper, the authors examine the present state of the art vis-a-vis the needs of a next-generation fusion machine and outline a program to provide for those needs. They also highlight recent developments that suggest the program goals are within reach
