AbstractAbstract
[en] Investigation into 08Kh14MF steel surface layer composition under polarization in sulfuric acid medium is conducted. In the initial state 08Kh14MF chromium steel surface layer is of complex composition and apart from basic elements (Fe, Cr) contains sufficient quantity of C, O, Ni, S. During steel polarization in the active dissolving region, surface layer enrichment by Cr is observed. In repassivation and passive state area CCr/CFe ratio in the surface layer is at the volumetric level. Dynamics of Fe amd Cr element ratio change in the steel surface layer under polarization is explained on the basis of their selective dissolving processes and different diffusion ability
