[en] This document is the final report of the 2nd joint five-year programme on the testing and evaluation of the properties of potential materials for the immobilisation of high-level radioactive wastes. The research undertaken was to test European high-level radioactive wastes for thermal, mechanical, and radiation stability and their behaviour under attack by aqueous media to enable predictions to be made concerning their activity retention after disposal. Experiments were carried out under waste repository conditions and in simplified laboratory conditions. (U.K.)
