[en] The meeting of this Working Group was the latest in a series of meetings convened by the WHO Regional Office for Europe. On the basis of the available data, the average individual dose in Europe of radiocaesium through all pathways was estimated to have been about 0.3 mSv in the first year and to be about 0.06 mSv for the whole 50-year period after the Chernobyl accident. These are weighted averages for all of Europe, excluding the USSR
