AbstractAbstract
[en] Effect of gamma irradiation was studied for two generations in Cicer arietinum L. Treatment with low doses of gamma-irradiation resulted in the seedling length, plant height and yield attributes. However, higher doses of gamma rays had adverse affect on the above mentioned parameters. Certain morphological variations affecting seedling root, stem, leaves and flowers were noticed in the M1 generation. An early flowering and high yielding mutant was isolated from M2 generation. Porbable causes for the induced variations have been discussed in the light of available literature. (author). 2 tables, 16 refs
