AbstractAbstract
[en] The production of radioactive beams from 400 MeV/u light ions (12C-20Ne) fragmentation is studied. The characteristics of these beams (energy, energy width, angular width) are calculated from the nuclear reaction kinematics, and from the modifications induced by ion-target interaction. The method used to select and purify such beams is given, and the main characteristics of the beam line (spectrometer) to be used are defined. Finally the production rates are derived from the available fragmentation cross sections
