AbstractAbstract
[en] This is the first book to be published in the new field of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). Using this exciting technique, chemists and geochemists can now perform rapid analysis across the Periodic Table with detection limits previously limited to single-element or very slow methods. The book provides not only a thorough grounding in the historical development and the theoretical basis of the technique but also discusses in detail actual and potential uses in research and industry, and such fields as water resources, geochemistry, biochemistry, food science, metallurgy, the petroleum industry and the determination of isotope ratios.
