AbstractAbstract
[en] The EMRIC set up (Ensemble de Mesure Rapide pour l'Interferometrie et les Correlations) is devoted to the study of space and time extent of nuclear sources from the measurement of light charged particles correlations. This device, composed of an array of 16 detectors (CsI crystals coupled to phototubes) used in conjunction with a multiwire chamber, is characterised by a smart granulation, a large solid angle and very small detection dead areas. It opens new possibilities in the measurement of the correlation functions (complete determination (modulus and direction) of the relative momenta in the range 1 to 100 MeV/c). This work describes the development and performances of EMRIC. The mechanics and electronics are detailed to enlighten difficulties inherent to this type of detector. An auxiliary monitoring system has been carried out to simplify some of the experimental tasks. A simulation software code has been written (based on Monte-Carlo techniques) to simulate the effect of the detector on the experimental data. The precision and efficiency in detection place EMRIC, which can be operated in the whole intermediate energy range (10-100 MeV/u), among the most powerful existing devices. First results on the 20Ne + 27Al system are finally shown

Le dispositif de detection EMRIC (Ensemble de Mesure Rapide pour l'Interferometrie et les Correlations) permet d'etudier les caracteristiques spatiotemporelles de sources emettrices nucleaires, a partir de la mesure des correlations entre particules legeres emises a faible impulsion relative. Constitue de 16 modules (Scintillateurs ICs + Photomultiplicateurs) et d'une chambre proportionnelle multi-fils, l'ensemble est pourvu d'une tres fine granularite et couvre un angle solide important; ceci permet d'effectuer des mesures de fonctions de correlations precises et originales (determination complete du vecteur impulsion relative jusqu'a ∼ 1 MeV/c). Ce memoire expose la mise en oeuvre et les performances du dispositif EMRIC. La mecanique de ce dispositif ainsi que l'electronique associee font l'objet d'une description detaillee mettant en relief les difficultes techniques inherentes a ce type d'appareillage. Afin de simplifier certaines taches experimentales, nous avons egalement developpe un systeme de controle et de surveillance auxiliaire. Un programme de simulation du dispositif de detection, utilisant les methodes de Monte-Carlo, nous a permis d'etudier l'influence des effets d'appareillage sur les resultats experimentaux. L'efficacite de detection et la precision de la localisation des particules placent EMRIC parmi les dispositifs de detection les plus performants, dans le domaine des energies intermediaires (10 a 100 MeV/A).
