[en] Investigations currently carried out by the UCLA Particle Physics Research Group can be arranged into four programs: Pion-Nucleon Scattering; Tests of Charge Symmetry and Isospin Invariance; Light Nuclei (Strong Form Factors of ³H, ³He, ⁴He; Detailed Balance in pd right reversible γ³H; Interaction Dynamics); and Search for the Rare Decay Μ⁺ → e⁺ + γ (MEGA). The general considerations which led to the choice of physics problems investigated by our group are given in the next section. We also outline the scope of the research being done which includes over a dozen experiments.
