[en] In 1979 the Asian Regional Co-operative Project on Food Irradiation (RPFI) was started. Fish and fishery products received high priority in research and development in this regional project. Phase I of the project was concluded in 1984. Some of the final reports of the investigators under RPFI, mainly dealing with reducing losses of fish and fishery products by applying radiation and the economic feasibility of this technology in developing countries, are included in this publication.
