AbstractAbstract
[en] The major goal of this study on the toxicity of 90Sr and 226Ra is to provide information on long-term consequences expected to occur in people from chronic exposure to α- and β-emitting bone-seeking radionuclides. To meet this goal, we are evaluating the biologic effects of the two radionuclides in the beagle. Similarities between dogs and people provide a valuable base for the scaling of potential hazards from radionuclide contamination from canine to human populations. 36 refs., 17 figs., 11 tabs
