AbstractAbstract
[en] A simplified theoretical model for an estimate of the optogalvanic effect induced in an electric discharge by resonant laser radiation is presented. This theory is based on the solution of a two-level system rate equation, where the upper level of the stimulated transition is connected to the ground state (lower level) through radiative and collisional processes. The developed relations show that the magnitude and temporal evolution (in the case of pulsed excitation) of the optogalvanic signal depend on the electronic plasma density, electron temperature and on the density of light absorbing centers. Apresenta-se um modelo teorico simplificado para uma estimativa do efeito optogalvanico induzido em uma descarga eletrica por radiacao laser ressonante. Esta teoria e baseada na solucao das equacoes da razao de um sistema dois niveis, onde o nivel superior da transicao estimulada e ligado ao estado fundamental (nivel inferior) atraves de processos radiativos e colisionais. As relacoes desenvolvidas mostram que a magnitude e evolucao temporal (no caso de excitacao pulsada) do sinal optogalvanico depende da densidade eletronica do plasma, temperatura do eletron e da densidade dos centros de absorcao de luz.
