AbstractAbstract
[en] The International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) magnet development program at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory mainly involves developing high-performance, radiation-tolerant magnet concepts. Model coils, full-scale conductors, and insulation systems will be fabricated and tested. This paper briefly describes the program plan. Also included is the description of the Fusion Engineering International Experimental Magnet Facility (FENIX) which is currently under construction for testing full-scale ITER conductors to 40 kA and 14 T. Its design parameters and schedule are reviewed. 2 refs., 2 figs., 1 tab
