AbstractAbstract
[en] The addition of ozone and ammonia removed NOx and SO2 very effectively from simulated coal-fired flue gas which consists of NO (510 ppm), SO2 (1030 ppm), H2O (8 %), O2 (15 %), and N2 (77 %). The degree of NOx removal and SO2 removal was 87 % and 84 % respectively at 70deg C by adding 940 ppm O3 and 3400 ppm NH3. The main components of produced solid materials were identified to be NH4NO3 and (NH4)2 SO4 by infrared absorption spectroscopy. The detailed reaction mechanisms of NOx and SO2 removals are discussed. (author)
