[en] The BWIP Laboratory facilities and adjacent Rockwell Hanford Operations Training Facilities have long been identified as areas with major Heating, Venting and Air-Conditioning (HVAC) deficiencies. They include lack of sufficient cooling, high humidity and lack of adequate air filtration for dust removal (BWIP Laboratories). This study considers several alternatives as solutions to the present problems. The selected alternate, No. 3, employs the use of packaged refrigeration units and steam heating coils plus bag-type air filters for the BWIP Laboratories. The costs estimates are commensurate with other alternated providing similar results
