AbstractAbstract
[en] The container consists of a cylindrical vessel housing an inner guide tube. The neutron source holder is installed in the tube and can be moved along its axis. The source is closed from both sides with cylindrical shielding blocks of material with a high hydrogen content, e.g., paraffin. A shielding case of a high density material such as lead is fitted to the outer surface of the inner guide tube, in the middle part of the tube. A connection element for an outer guide member is fitted to the front face surface of the cylindrical vessel, at the inner guide tube mouth. A removable lid is fitted to the connection element for transport. The container can be used in rapid analysis of raw material composition by neutron methods, especially in determining the contents of selected elements by the method of recording photons from inelastic scattering of fast neutrons on atomic nuclei, or in analyzing raw material moisture content by fast neutron recording.
