AbstractAbstract
[en] This document describes activities for the closure of a dangerous waste treatment tank facility, owned and operated by the US Department of Energy-Richland Operations Office (DOE-RL) and co-operated by the Westinghouse Hanford Company (Westinghouse Hanford). This tank treatment facility is the 300 Area Solvent Evaporator (300 ASE), which was located in the 300 Area of the Hanford Site from 1975 to 1986, and was managed for the DOE-RL by UNC Nuclear Industries, Incorporated. The 300 ASE evaporator unit was a modified load lugger (dumpster) in which solvent wastes were evaporated, and the adjacent 333 East Concrete Pad, where 55-gallon barrels of waste solvents were temporarily stored while awaiting liquid transfers into the evaporator. 26 refs., 14 figs., 6 tabs
