AbstractAbstract
[en] A detailed calculation of the polarization propagator up to second order in perturbation theory is presented, involving 2p-2h states. The relevance of the latter is felt both at low and at high energies, in a variety of processes which might thus be described in a consistent framework. In particular the non-leptonic decay of Λ-hypernuclei and the nuclear response to an electromagnetic probe are discussed in connection with second order effects. (author)
