AbstractAbstract
[en] The operational, on-line, thick target isotope separator facility (TISOL) is initiating an experimental program at the 500 MeV intense proton laboratory, TRIUMF. TRIUMF approved experiments includes studies of nuclei far from stability, nuclear structure studies, and studies of interest to nuclear astrophysics. In addition, the facility also serves as a test facility to explore problems relevant to a possible accelerated radioactive beams facility. In this talk a detailed description of the facility will be given including latest results for TISOL-ECR (electron cyclotron resonance ion source), a description of the new experimental area, and a progress report of the experimental program including relevant results. Finally (again exclamation point exclamation point), a status report of the previously (1985) proposed ISAC (ISOL/Accelerator) facility, a thick target, high intensity radioactive beams facility is given
