[en] Inspired by unique features of the preon-subpreon model, we study quark mixings and the CKM matrix. The resultant CKM matrix has very nice properties. Vcb≅-Vts is predicted. Our scheme has a strong possibility to explain that Vus and Vcd are remarkably large compared with other off-diagonal elements and that Vub and Vtd are much smaller than Vcb. (author)
