[en] A review of X⁺→φπ⁺ events from e⁺e- annihilation, photoproduction, and hadroproduc- tion, and of events in the related decay channels bar K ^*0K+ and nonresonant K⁺K-π⁺ from photoproduction and hadroproduction, provides evidence for a charged particle near 1800 MeV. A review of X⁰→K^-π⁺ events from e⁺e- annihilation and photoproduction provides evidence for a neutral particle near 1785 MeV. The signal widths are comparable with the spectrometer resolutions. More significantly, both particles have been observed at secondary vertices in lifetime experiments, suggesting that their lifetimes are comparable with charm lifetimes. It is hypothesized that they may be strongly bound composite charm mesons
